Drûidobessus

Gaulish Druid

They have philosophers and theologians who are held in much honor and are called Druids.
(Diodorus of Sicily, Historical Library, V, 31, 2)

The image above is a Drûið Inscrîbatus (Sigil, Mark). This Inscrîbatus is two different symbols binned together. The first is from a coin in the Carnutes territory from before 52 BC. It is a bulleted cross. The second comes from the Narbonensis territory dated to around 100 BC. It is a Cross with a dot in the center, a crescent in three quadrants, and a circle above the crescent in the fourth quadrant. When I saw these two images, I eminently saw them together. Unlike the first two images, this one holds more mystery itself. This Inscrîbatus represent the mysteries of the cosmos along with our connection to Drus (The World Tree) and the three realms Dubnos, Bitus, and Albios. This Inscrîbatus is the cycle of all things. You will see within the quadrants the moon relating to how the ancestors kept track of time. You will also see a circle next to the moon; this is the planet Venus (Sirona). On the outside, you will see the circle representing the Eights planets or the stars around us. The cross represents from life to death and death to life—the circle meaning the cycle of all things. A Drûið studies the deep meaning in all that is showing you the mysteries and knowledge within and around.

Drûið (One who knows Drus)
Mediators and Arbiters of the Deuoi

The Drûið will focus on being of service and providing service to the greater community. They will be those that teach and create Philosophical understanding that helps aid oneself and the individuals to illumination. Celebrant work is a major part of the Drûides work, so funeral rites why funeral rites well, the word Drus means one who knows Drus, so who better to send you to the next world? They will be civilizers helping to keep things civilized as they are on a path of liminality to truly gain genuine understanding as they are walkers of the threshold. Now, this doesn’t mean they are not peacemakers as they are, but they can be destroyers as well. These are the thinkers under Drus. They sit outside the cultural norm and teach something greater. They are mostly connected to Albios, but we must remember they are thinkers of Drus. There is very much a mystery tradition within Drûidobessus.
Each Drûið might focus on just one thing or many.

This is an Initiatory tradition, so that means one must be initiated.
